Go Out, 2016

Go Out, 2016 a site specific sculpture made on the occasion of the 5th Moscow International Biennale for Young Art. For this contribution to the Biennale Juliana Cerqueira Leite was awarded the Furla Art Prize.

"Titled Go Out the piece fuses several body casts in pigmented plaster to create a group of forms taken from my body in small sections. Working slowly alone I produced these forms while in positions that are typical of simple night­club dances: movements that have no name, and that are done in social situations bringing on a loss of self and simultaneously an assertion of self."
